Company to Demonstrate Cutting-Edge Dismounted Soldier Training System at I/ITSEC - the Annual Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference
November 28, 2011 (Orlando, FL) - Intelligent Decisions (ID), Inc., a premier global IT systems integrator, will present and demonstrate its Dismounted Soldier Training System at the Annual Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) 2011 from November 28 to December 1 in Orlando, FL. The Dismounted Soldier Training System is a first-ever, fully immersive virtual simulation training system that enables U.S. soldiers, leaders and units to train in a virtual environment to increase the quality of instruction and combat preparedness, while at the same time reducing traditional training expenses associated with large-scale facilities. Sponsored by the National Training and Simulation Association, the I/ITSEC is the world’s largest exhibition of modeling and simulation technology attracting approximately 20,000 registrants with more than 500 corporations, government and research organizations from the U.S. and around the world.
Intelligent Decisions is spearheading the development of the multi-million dollar Dismounted Soldier Training System and management of the training system is being led by the Army’s Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI).
At the I/ITSEC, ID will demonstrate the Dismounted Soldier Training System’s ability to provide a fully immersive environment with high fidelity graphics and technology that enable soldiers to virtually interact with their physical environment and use combat equipment. Soldiers use natural motions just as they would in a live environment to perform motion maneuvers, such as leaning around or under an obstacle.
“Intelligent Decisions is proud and honored to be developing the Dismounted Soldier Training System for our U.S. soldiers to help ensure that they maintain the military advantage,” said Gino Antonelli, Intelligent Decisions executive vice president. “This top industry conference offers a rare opportunity for us to demonstrate the cutting-edge capabilities of this training solution to experts, exhibitors and attendees from across the globe.”
The I/ITSEC promotes cooperation among the U.S. Armed Services, industry, academia and various government agencies in pursuit of improved training and education programs, identification of common training issues and development of multiservice programs.
The conference will be held in the West Concourse of the Orange County Convention Center with over half a million square feet of exhibit space. To learn more about I/ITSEC, please go to www.IITSEC.org.
At the bottom half of each hour, ID will show live demonstrations of the Dismounted Soldier Training System at the conference.
